Registration and Participation Policy for Courses, Workshops, and Products
1. General
1.1 These terms constitute a binding contract between the participant and Avital Lovie Cohen Feng Shui and Chinese Astrology
1.2 Registration for courses, workshops, or purchasing products constitutes full agreement to the terms specified in these terms.
1.3 These terms apply to all learning tracks: enrichment courses, year-long professional training courses, and short workshops.
1.4 The material taught is based on over 17 years of knowledge and experience. However, Applying the knowledge, and the participants' personal or professional results, are their sole responsibility.
2. Cancellation Policy: In Accordance with the Consumer Protection Law
2.1 A purchase may be canceled within 14 days of the transaction date, provided the cancellation is made at least 7 business days before the course/workshop begins.
2.2 In the event of such cancellation, the payment will be refunded minus a cancellation fee of 5% or ₪100, whichever is lower.
2.3 After this date, the special cancellation policy for each course type will apply, as detailed below.
3. In-Person Courses
3.1 If a client has paid but is unable to participate in the course:
a. May attend the same course on a different date, up to one year from the date of purchase.
B. Cancellation up to one month before the course begins: refund minus a 30% deduction. After this date, no refund will be given.
3.2 Absence from a Lesson:
a. You may make it up in a future/parallel course within one year of the course's start date.
b. Recordings of lessons are not provided for in-person courses.
4. Zoom Courses
4.1 If a customer has paid and is unable to participate in the course:
a. May attend the same course on a different date, up to one year from the date of purchase.
B. Cancellation up to one month before the course begins: refund minus a 30% deduction. After this date, no refund will be given.
4.2 Absence from a lesson:
a. You may make it up in a future/parallel course within one year of the course's start date.
b. In addition, participants will receive access to the course recordings for up to 6 months after the course ends.
5. In-Person Workshops
5.1 Cancellation up to 5 business days before the workshop date will incur a 50% charge of the workshop cost. Cancellation after that: no refund.
5.2 A participant who is unable to attend may send a substitute, subject to advance notice of at least 4 business days.
5.3 You may attend an alternative workshop up to one year from the date of the original workshop, subject to availability.
6. Digital Courses (Self-Paced)
6.1 No refunds after purchasing a digital course.
7. Additional Products
7.1 Books and printed materials: returns will only be accepted if unopened and unused, provided they are returned in their original packaging.
7.2 After opening/use, no refund will be possible.
8. Payments
8.1 Failure to keep up with the payment schedule will result in suspension of participation until the debt is settled.
8.2 The business is entitled to demand payment of the remaining balance in full even in the event of withdrawal from the course partway through.
9. Force Majeure and Changes
9.1 The business reserves the right to change the date of a course/workshop, postpone it, or move it to Zoom in the event of force majeure, government restrictions, or emergency circumstances.
9.2 In such a case, an alternative solution will be provided (a makeup session, transfer, or access to recordings), with no refund.
10. Intellectual Property
10.1 All materials, presentations, recordings, books, the digital calculator, and all content provided in the courses and workshops are the exclusive intellectual property of the instructor.
10.2 These materials may not be copied, duplicated, distributed, transferred, recorded, taught, published, or used commercially in any way without express written permission.
11. Certification to Teach
11.1 Some of the courses are enrichment courses only, while others are professional training tracks for consulting.
11.2 Even in the training courses, responsibility for applying the knowledge and for the actual results rests solely with the participants.
11.3 The method may not be taught, and no courses based on these materials or this method may be opened, without official certification.
11.4 Anyone wishing to teach the method is required to complete Official Certification Track and receive a certificate of completion. Only graduates of the program will be permitted to teach on behalf of the instructor and/or under her brand.
12. Limited Liability
12.1 The courses, workshops, and products are intended for learning, enrichment, or training purposes only.
12.2 Nothing stated herein constitutes a guarantee of any particular outcome in participants' personal or professional lives.
12.3 Responsibility for any action, decision, or outcome resulting from applying the knowledge rests solely with the participants.
13. Student Communities
13.1 There are dedicated Facebook groups for study, practice, and questions:
- For students of Chinese astrology.
- For feng shui students.
13.2 Participation in the groups is subject to the conduct rules established for them.
14. Jurisdiction
14.1 Exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to these terms shall lie with the courts of the [choose: Central / Tel Aviv / Jerusalem] District.
